Chuck Weeden

Starter/Ranger

MEET THE STAFF!

Chuck started working at our lovely golf facilities in the early eighties, when golf was as foreign as a $5.00 cup of cappuccino.  Because of his naivete, Chuck is still very excited about his golf game, and in a strange way, he still believes his golf game can improve with patience and time.  When asked what his favorite animal is, he smiled, and quickly replied, "Kangaroo!"  When asked if it would be okay if he explained why the Kangaroo, he replied even quicker with, "No."

MEET THE STAFF!

Kevin McLaughlin

Starter/Golf Shop Staff/IT Professional

Kevin started working at Amherst Country Club, Inc. before it opened in 1945.  Kevin is a hard working individual who enjoys playing golf and Bridge.  He drives a car that also doubles as a time machine, but he only uses it when he's running late (which is never).  Kevin hates being cold.

Bill Boyd

Starter/Ranger

MEET THE STAFF!

Is he having a massive heart attack, or is he just stretching his back?......that's the wonder of working with Bill Boyd!  Bill has been trying to master the game of golf since he was the age of 6, when golf was first invented.  In his spare time, Bill enjoys doing hot yoga and lifting weights.  His favorite muscle is his triceps because he firmly believes if he continues to tone, he will (eventually) be able to fly.

No Bill's were harmed in the taking of this photograph

MEET THE STAFF!

Shanx

Official Mascot

Shanx doesn't say much, but you can tell by the look on that face, that Shanx is one happy (well-fed) gofer!  Shanx is always willing to give free hugs, just be careful during the hot summer days because the hugs can get pretty sticky and sweaty.  A word of caution: never call Shanx a bear, beaver, or a groundhog.  Shanx is extremely sensitive, due mostly to his being bullied in mascot school back in the early 90's (when being a mascot wasn't considered 'cool').

Adam Newman

Golf Shop Staff

MEET THE STAFF!

Adam Newman was hired in 2016.  He knew he was destined to work at Amherst Country Club, Inc. the moment he locked eyes with the person who was interviewing him (mostly because that's proper interviewing etiquette).  Adam, if presented with no alternative, would choose to be eaten by a shark because of the legend that would remain forever.  He enjoys the color orange, but hates traffic cones (because they distract him while he's driving).

MEET THE STAFF!

Mike Patinsky

Golf Shop Staff

Mike is a recent graduate of dating.  He completed his studies as a bachelor in the Spring of 2016 upon his acceptance of the patient-hand of his (now) wife.  She is an amazing, patient, caring, patient, hard-working, patient woman who possesses an inhuman amount of tolerance and patience.  Some, who know her, have questioned whether she is, in fact, even real.

Anyway, Mike works for our company.

MEET THE STAFF!

Todd Griffin

Food & Beverage Manager

Todd was welcomed to the ACC Team in March of 2018.  In his previous life, Todd was a archaeologist, scouring the Tibetan Tombs of Madagascar with his Garret Ace400 Pro Metal Detector he got for Christmas in 2004.   Todd was once faced with a difficult flea market decision when he had to choose between a suede, mauve-colored vest and a velvet painting of a cyclops riding a carousel.  He opted for the painting because of it's artistic portrayal of irony and mystic entertainment.  He also is allergic to suede.
